Mira Sorvino's father Paul told paparazzi how he feels about Harvey Weinstein and he didn't hold back

LAST MONTH, IT emerged that Harvey Weinstein had been warning Hollywood directors not to work with certain women who he had deemed “difficult”.
Peter Jackson recounted a time in the 1990s when he was considering hiring Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd for his massive Lord of The Rings series. Weinstein’s company Miramax told Jackson that these two women were ‘a nightmare to work with’. Jackson said he had no reason to question it, and as a result, he steered clear of these actresses.

With the hindsight Jackson has today, he realised that he had been fooled into believing Weinstein’s ‘smear campaign’ against these actresses.
When Mira Sorvino heard that Peter Jackson had admitted following Weinstein’s instructions, she was understandably upset. She wrote on Twitter:
Sorvino’s father Paul, who is also an actor (some of his most notable movies include Goodfellas and Romeo & Juliet) was grilled about the whole situation by paparazzi yesterday.
TMZ asked the 78-year-old:

Paul attempted to give a calm response, but it was not long until he became quite angry.
Easy to understand. He started off by saying:
TMZ’s reporter told Sorvino that the DA is apparently ‘making strides’ in the case against Weinstein, to which Paul calmly replied “He’s going to go to jail.”

Sorvino was then asked if he had known the extent of the Weinstein allegations, to which he replied “No, I did not. I sure didn’t.”
Sorvino then praised his daughter for standing up to Weinstein. He said that Mira was a “wonderful person and a courageous human being.”
